NATURAL LOW-FE WOLLASTONITE

APPLICATIONS
1. The ceramic industry
when sufficient wollastonite is added to ceramic material, the baking temperature can be decreased, and the baking duration greatly shortened to one rapid low temperature bake, thus saving fuel and reducing production costs. At the same time the mechanical properties are improved cracks and streaks on the products are eliminated and quality raised.

2.The paint and coating industry
When wollastonite is used as a filling or milking agent in paint, a super quality, brightly coloured paint can be obtained. The paint will give a good uniform coating and have mildew-proof and weather-proof properties.
White wollastonite is a good raw material for high quality white and pastel coating. It is easy to apply with a smooth surface. It is also highly weather-resistant.
3. The rubber and plastic industry
Wollastonite can be used to strengthen the filling agents of rubber and plastic. In thermosetting and thermoplastic moulding and casting resin, it has good heat-resistant properties and improves stability.
In epoxy resins, it will reduce water absorption and dielectric constant before plasticizing.
4. Other uses
wollastonite is also used as : protective slag in casting silicon-steel, electrode coating; lagging material; ceramic moulds and bonding agent for abrasives; a filling agent in paper making, the trace mineral in the production of white cement and special electric ceramics.

WOLLASTONITE

Usage:
Wollastonite is used in ceramics, paint, friction products (brakes and clutches), joint compounds, refractories, rubber, wallboard, and metallurgical applications. In ceramics it decreases shrinking, permits fast firing, reduces cracking, and also prevents glaze defects. In paint it acts as a PH buffer to help resist weathering. It improves tensile and flexural strength of plastics. It also improves the stability of plastics at raised temperatures. One other thing that wollastonite is used for is as a flux for welding, or controlling casting speed during continuous casting of steel,. These are used throughout Europe and are catching on in the US.

　　6.Acicular wollastonite powder

Acicular wollastonite powder is an ideal substitution of as industries because it is nonpoisonous an innocuous. It can use to ceramics, plastic, construction material, paint, metallurgical and many other expanding list of application economy.

It is widely used in fireproof board, huge ceramic board as alkali resisting wall-board, Si-Ca board, fram filtration and due to the high quality of raw material, advanced process scientific management.
